How do you make custom lego instructions for your models?
A digital version of the model is built in a LEGO design program (there are several kinds, LDD and Studio2.0 are the two most common probably). Then the digital model is imported to an alternate instructions making program (or in the case of studio2.0 you can create the instructions in the same place). In the case of this model the designer used LDD for the 3D version and imported to blueprint to make the instructions. Personally I prefer building from the Studio2.0 program developed by bricklink.com
