The ship was smaller, lighter, and faster than your normal cruiser and was given a large compliment of smaller arms specifically designed for anti-aircraft operations. The U.S. Navy commissioned the first of these ships just weeks after the attack on Pearl Harbor and the few that served in the war were able to provide important protection against attacking planes. “I have been waiting for Lego to release a TIE interceptor for a long time so that I could complement my Lego Star Wars collection. When I saw this MOC I knew I wanted to have this one. It was the first MOC I purchased and built and it did NOT disappoint. It is amazing and it makes my other official sets look simple. The build is clever and challenging and the design is perfect! Thanks Brickvault for sharing this MOC. I hope to see more in the future. ” - Thijs
-
