After several years this creation has been redesigned by the model maker, hence (Original Build) in the title. If you want to see the newer design of this Gunship click HERE.
The Republic Gunship or LAAT (Low Altitude Assault Transport) can do it all. This heavily armed repulsorlift is effective in air-to-air and air-to-ground combat as well as troop/supply transport. They played a key roll in nearly all atmospheric combat in the clone wars, and are among the most well recognized and beloved ships from this era in the Star Wars universe. This minifigure scale brick-build model has an excellent smooth shape. It's built strong, holds two minifigures in the cockpits, and has functioning sliding doors with considerable space in the hull.
The model also includes partlist and instructions for alternate wing design if you'd like to fit minfigures in the wings like you could with the older sets.
